(More customer reviews)I purchased the Fafco Solar Bear pool heater last season.I only purchased one panel for my 15x30 oval pool figuring it would heat my pool about 5-6 degrees which is adequate for my needs.Sure enough, on sunny days it raised the pool temperature about 6 degrees.Installation was fairly easy; however, the downside to the solar panel is that it must sit out in the sun to to heat the panel enough to ease rolling or unrolling the panel.I used a couple of sand bags to hold the panel open.Rolling up the panel in the fall was a bit of a challenge for the same reason as above and required two of us to roll and strap it for storage. This season upon startup, I noticed a leak in the panel.Fortunately, a spot of hot glue has temporarily fixed the leak and and more care with installation should prevent leaks in the future.

Easy to install full system to heat your pool with free heat from the sun. A full 4` x 20` panel rather than the Sungrabbers which are 2 x 2` x 20`. 2" header for better flow. All that is required is the linear footage of hoses to connect to your pump. Some pool owners place the panel close and require only a few feet of hoses and others will install in the roof and require several feet of hose. This system must be taken down in the winter if roof mounted as it does not completely drain and will freeze - voiding the warranty - must be stored indoors for the winter.
