(More customer reviews)I purchased this item based on a tip from a review for a different (less powerful) item. To my knowledge, this is the brightest solar floodlight on the market. It uses 12 LEDs and a mirror-type reflecting surface to create a stream bright light. It has a metal (aluminum?) housing and in general has a quality feel. The solar panel is separate but attached by a long wire so you can optimize its exposure to the sun. The angle of the light is adjustable for precise aiming.

I used it as an "up light" to illuminate a beautiful canary palm in my backyard (about 25 feet tall). I attached it with zip ties to a 6-foot fence to maximize the brightness of it. My neighbors like what I have done and were blown away that it was a solar light due to its brightness. I don't know how it would compare brightness-wise to a similar wired light but it works for my application. Solar was the way to go for me on this as I didn't want to deal with wiring, and why not save energy where you can?

I have another one on the way to hit the tree from a different angle. The product is a good value and adds a lot to my "outdoor living" space.
